FSS Employee Spotlight: Joshua Mullen
Meet Joshua Mullen, a current employee with Child & Youth Programs on RAF Lakenheath. Josh grew up in a military household and has done what those resilient military children do best - thrived wherever he landed!
Josh has been living at RAF Lakenheath since 2019 and has been working with CYP for just over 5 months. The thing he loves the most about his work with FSS is the wonderful people he meets and gets the pleasure of interacting with daily. He is very excited to be working on the upcoming Month of the Military Child Carnival CYP hosts every year in April. Working with CYP has shown Josh that childcare is his passion and has helped him find a definite direction for his career. However, there is more to Josh than just his work!
He also enjoys working on cars and jokingly describes himself as "older than Google," which is crazy but true. Josh's dad served in the United States Army for 23 years. During that time, he was stationed in Germany, where he met Josh's mom - a German citizen. In his free time, Josh loves to binge shows on Netflix and is currently finishing up "You."
FSS supports military childern!
The dollars you spend with FSS help fund a lot of special programs that directly benefit our military kids on RAF Lakenheath! Take a trip with ITT and you can be sure some of that expense pays for special activities like the annual Egg Hunt and Month of the Military Child Carnival. It also helps that ensure that our facilities are fully staffed and able to offer lots of fun activities, like skate night at Page or the Summer Reading Program at Liberty Library.
However you spend with the 48 FSS, know that your FSS Dollar is being put to work for everyone, and that includes the military child.
