9 Minute Mile & a Half

Test your speed and run a mile and a half in 9 minutes for a chance to win the top spot in the leader board and a T-Shirt. Grab a member of staff to come out and time your work to win.

10 Minute Mile & a Half

Test your speed and run a mile and a half in 10 minutes for a chance to win the top spot in the leader board and a T-Shirt. Grab a member of staff to come out and time your work to win.

Battle Rope Challenge

Test your muscular endurance with the Battle Rope Challenge. Slam the ropes for the longest consecutive time to win the top spot on the achievement board and win a T-Shirt.

500 LB Challenge

Test your strength on the Bench Press, Back Squat and Deadlift hitting 500lbs for Women. Come into the Fitness Center during staffed hours and have a member of staff witness your lift for a chance to take the top spot.

1000 LB Challenge

Test your strength on the Bench Press, Back Squat and Deadlift hitting 1000lbs for Men. Come into the Fitness Center during staffed hours and have a member of staff witness your lift for a chance to take the top spot.

3 Peaks Challenge

The 3 Peaks Challenge is an event in which participants climb the highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales. To perform this challenge, use the stair climber and total 19,488 steps. Log your progress each day with Fitness Center until you reach your goal.

River Ouse Challenge

Test your rowing skills and row the local Little Ouse. Row 37 miles to complete this challenge. Add up your rowing miles each day until you reach the 37 miles to be acknowledged on our achievement board and get awarded a T-shirt!

Facility Policy & Procedures

All facility guests will adhere to the following rules:

  • Follow social distancing rules
  • Wear a mask when not exercising
  • Clean all equipment before/after use
  • Not use areas that are off-limits
  • Limit workouts to the following:
    • Cardio Equipment - 30 mins
    • Select Equipment - 45 mins
    • Personal Exercise/Stretch - 30 mins
  • No spotting

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday - 6-6:30am

Short on time? Get in, get it done and get out. Pack an
intense workout into 30 minutes by alternating short, intense intervals. This type of training has been used by athletes to improve performance, but also benefits the average exerciser.

About Us

Offering state-of-the-art fitness facilities and programs for the whole family, the Fitness & Sports Center provides free weights, aerobics, exercise machines, fully equipped men’s/women’s locker rooms with sauna, fitness assessments, personal trainers and a comprehensive intramural and varsity sports program.

The RAF Lakenheath Fitness & Sports Center is comprised of a basketball court/volleyball court, weight room, two racquetball courts, nautilus room, men’s and women’s locker rooms, cardiovascular room, two softball fields, a football field with an all-weather running track and three tennis courts. Classes are available for civilians, dependents, and active duty members. All classes are free of charge.
