Employee Spotlight: Kimberlin Schneider
July 25 is National Hire a Veteran Day, and this month we are spot lighting oneof our veteran employees right here at the 48 FSS. Kimberlin Schneider works at Breckland Pines Golf Course. He does so much behind the scenes to ensure customers have a great experience. From planning events to making sure the equipment is in proper working order, Kimberlin plays an important role in making your FSS run smoothly!
A friendly face at Breckland Pines; Kimberlin grew up in northwest Montana andenjoyed boating on the Flathead River before he decided to enlist in the United States Air Force. He served for 24 years and was stationedat RAF Lakenheath three times for a total of 11 years in the Tri-base area. In his current role as Operations Assistant at Breckland Pines, he is involved in a lot of event planning, equipment management, and day-to-day customer interaction. Kimberlin says the most challenging aspects of his employment with FSS have been handling two major building renovations and helping to plan big base events like Island Life and Liberty Fest.
His employment at Breckland Pines has provided great learning experiences regarding all that goes into making an on-base golf course run smoothly to provide customers with a pleasant experience. He's also gained alot of knowledge about the retail side of golf and has quite the insight about the accessories and clothing needed to keep the shop stocked with the items golfers need to enjoy the game. Kimberlin is a proud Magna Cum Laude graduate from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. We are lucky to have him at the 48 FSS!
Teeing up a new event!
The team at Breckland Pines is bringing an exciting new tournament to our course! Friday the 25th of August, 2023 is Lakenheath's first ever Pro-Am tournament! With over $1000 in amateur team prizes and food after the competition, this is something to get excited for!
Select your team of 3 and get paired with a PRO golfer to compete in the first of it's kind at Lakenheath! Entry fee is $200 per 3 person team.
